ABOUT US

Our motorcamping, in the quiet village of Gasselternijveenschemond, was started in the spring of 2005.

There is a cantena with a stage, a bar, two wood stoves and a pantry where simple meals can be ordered. In our stables we have 24 beds and of course there is a lavatory. Your tent can be put up on our camp site.

On a farm you see animals. It is the same at our place.

Outside you find some chicken and our pot bellied pigs

share there house with porch in there own yard with the

chicken. Our two border collies "guard" the boundaries

of the place. Other dogs are welcome, on a leesh.

A five minute walk takes you into the woods. There you can take a relaxing walk; you may even spot a roe or a bird of prey. From here, you can ride beautifully over the Hondsrug, a curved area with woods and lots of recreation in the province Drenthe. Westerwolde in East-Groningen has whide fields and water. Assen and Emmen are within 30 km, the city of Groningen is 50 km to the north. In Stadskanaal (3 km) you will find everything a person who camps needs, and more. The little old fortress city of Bourtange is certainly worth visiting. In Drouwenerzand you will find a small amusement park where you can stay all day at low costs. The children will love it!
